Who we are

Parmate is a WHS-correct scramble handicap platform operated by The Ninth Tee, registered in the Netherlands (KvK: 98566903).

Our app is available at play.parmate.golf.

What data we collect

• Account data — email address, display name (provided at registration via Google Sign-In or email/password)
• Profile data — handicap index, home course, avatar selection (voluntarily provided by you)
• Usage data — saved courses, teams, scorecards, match history (stored to provide the service)
• Technical data — device type, browser, Firebase session tokens (automatically collected by Firebase)

We do not collect location data, payment card data, or sell your data to third parties.

How we use your data

• To provide and improve the Parmate service
• To enable multiplayer match play between users
• To allow users to find and connect with other golfers ("buddies")
• To calculate WHS-correct scramble handicaps

Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6): Performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for) and Legitimate interest (improving the app).

Third-party services

• Google Firebase (Authentication + Firestore) — your data is stored on Google's EU servers. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Netlify — app hosting. See Netlify Privacy Policy.

No advertising, analytics, or tracking services are used.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under EU/EEA law you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data (via Profile settings)
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability — receive your data in a structured format
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest

Data retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Rounds and matches are stored indefinitely to preserve your history. You may delete your account at any time.

Data deletion request

Tap below to send a deletion request. We will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

Parmate will also be available as a downloadable app via the Google Play Store. When this transition occurs, these terms remain in effect. Any material changes will be communicated in advance.

Applicable law

This service is governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Dutch courts.

Parmate complies with applicable EU regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet).

Disclaimer

Parmate provides handicap calculations based on the World Handicap System (WHS). Results are indicative and for recreational use only. They are not official WHS handicap records. The Ninth Tee accepts no liability for decisions made based on calculated handicaps.

The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The Ninth Tee reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

Intellectual property

All content, design, branding, and software within Parmate are the property of The Ninth Tee. Unauthorised reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

Our cookie policy

Parmate uses no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics.

What we do use

• Firebase session tokens — stored in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. These are strictly necessary for the app to function.
• PWA cache — the app is cached by your browser's service worker for offline access. This stores app code only, not personal data.

No consent banner required

Because we use only strictly necessary session tokens (no analytics, no advertising, no profiling), we are not required to show a cookie consent banner under the ePrivacy Directive or Dutch Telecommunications Act.

How to clear

You can clear all stored session data by signing out of the app and clearing your browser's site data in your device settings. This will sign you out of Parmate.
