Who we are

Parmate is a WHS-correct scramble handicap platform operated by The Ninth Tee, registered in the Netherlands (KvK: 98566903).

Our app is available at play.parmate.golf.

What data we collect

Account data — email address, display name (provided at registration via Google Sign-In or email/password)
Profile data — handicap index, home course, avatar selection (voluntarily provided by you)
Usage data — saved courses, teams, scorecards, match history (stored to provide the service)
Technical data — device type, browser, Firebase session tokens (automatically collected by Firebase)

We do not collect location data, payment card data, or sell your data to third parties.

How we use your data

To provide and improve the Parmate service
To enable multiplayer match play between users
To allow users to find and connect with other golfers ("buddies")
To calculate WHS-correct scramble handicaps

Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6): Performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for) and Legitimate interest (improving the app).

Third-party services

Google Firebase (Authentication + Firestore) — your data is stored on Google's EU servers. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
Netlify — app hosting. See Netlify Privacy Policy.

No advertising, analytics, or tracking services are used.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under EU/EEA law you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of your personal data
Rectification — correct inaccurate data (via Profile settings)
Erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data
Portability — receive your data in a structured format
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest

Data retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Rounds and matches are stored indefinitely to preserve your history. You may delete your account at any time.
